We were standing over by the crackers, brie, and some delicious spinach/artichoke dip over at Embellishment’s this evening where I picked up a Lampe Berger (more on that later). It was the site of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce‘s Social Hour, a quasi business owners meet-up, quasi reason to have a glass of wine after work. So I asked Iain (pronounced Ian), who was standing there in his cute little mohawkish haircut and not looking at all like an official businessman, whether he was close-by. ”Oh, only a few blocks away.”
It was then that Iain shared with me that he’s the main designer and creative spirit behind Alexandria’s studio bianco designs, a studio for custom hand crafted furniture & cabinets. You can see the amazing work by appointment at 703.299.0662 or by sbdezine@hotmail.com. A former photographer and painter, Iain finds most of his current work is being consigned out of the Alexandria locale. Here’s a picture of Lowrie’s Japanese style vanity and tub surround in cherry with walnut burl and wenge accents.
