USE FOR: Adding metallic and pearlescent shimmer to any medium that can hold it
USE ON: Whatever transparent medium you want to add them to – fabric paint, resists, candles, house paint, Fimo, wood varnishes, glue, etc.

Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments are very fine powdered mica pigments that are non-toxic, inert, and can be mixed into virtually any viscose, transparent medium and applied to any surface! Since they are not metals, they will never rust or tarnish. The variety of finishes Pearl Ex can produce is nearly endless—from metallic sheens to pearlescent shimmers to all manner of faux finishes.

Sometimes it just pays to be in the right place at the right time – and while I might normally walk by mainstream art displays featuring canned products, something in the Martha Stewart line stopped me cold in my tracks.  Martha offers fine glitters in a 24 essential vivid colors set that can be used with stamps and glue pads.  Martha’s high-brow craft ideas abound here.  What I love about the set is the reasonably sized mini containers all labeled with an inspiring gemstone label.  The above image is Emerald in a powdery glitter perfect for hand lettering and below is Ruby.  Just beautiful – it’s a good thing!

image tree sells wooden rubber stamps in a variety of sets – we recently acquired the typewriter abc set.  Rubber stamps are a great way to save money rather than purchasing stickered letters for paper and craft projects.  Each set includes 30 stamps and are priced around $10.    They’re offered in the US by EK Success Ltd out of NJ.
