Here’s a sketch I did yesterday morning in the car while waiting for the Post Office to open.  It’s of Alexandria, Virginia’s Christ Episcopal Church’s historic steeple on South Washington Street.  Drawn in a Hand Book (which I’m still adapting to) with a navy Marvy Uchida Le Pen, I had a bit of a time with the tree on the landscape and also the scale of the steeple (in real life it is actually TALLER than show here).  Because I only had 5 – 10 minutes,  I also eliminated all the brick work which comprises the main building under the triangular rooftop.
