 Since 2006, we’ve been working within the international art market with a concentration on the unique range and diversity of art and artists within the metropolitan Washington DC and mid-Atlantic region.  In short, we’re creative idea people who fully believe more art IS more love.   

 Not only do we help artists with a host of marketing, creativity, networking and other professional and personal needs, but we are particularly interested in promoting women artists and especially increased awareness of thematic and communicative color and design issues through art. Some of this work takes on an art coaching or a life coaching hue, especially as we work with women of all ages in the fields of gender issues, body politics, self-esteem, body image, portrayal of women in the media & advertising, female role stereotypes, and other societal feminist issues through the vehicle of art. We are also working in the area of art & spirit and are attempting to define and describe that intersection.  

I am a self-taught, late-emergent, working artist concentrating on paper in vintage and contemporary thematic collage, art journals, visual diaries, sketchbooks, and paper & book arts.  I teach, write, speak, exhibit, jury, build teams, assess performances, motivate, research, price, promote, counsel, conceptualize, market, edit, facilitate and measure all things art.

We believe in 11 commandments for inspired artists:  

1)  live your dream; 2) make and create art daily; 3) inspire yourself; 4) inspire others; 5) play; 6) give back; 7) laugh, smile and be happy; dance; 9) smile when your heart is breaking; 10) live for today!; and 11) in all things, have faith.

Co-creator Alex Lange is a highly trained conventional architect with a portfolio of international large-scale projects.  He oversees our individual and collaborative RFPs for public and installation art.  Together, the firm of Shauna Lee Lange continuously studies the art market, art submissions and competitions, art trends, art and the Internet, and art regionalization issues.  

The Shauna Lee Lange Foundation is a non-profit organization (501-c3 is pending approval [Winter 2010]).  The foundation’s mission is to encourage, enable, empower, educate and endorse women of all ages (especially in vulnerable populations) to build self-image, self-esteem and self-reliance by effecting and communicating positive social change in their communities through the use of creative arts.
