Shauna Lee Lange of Port Charlotte, Southwest Florida is part art studio; part design firm; part atelier; art and life coach; and creativity incubator. Pull up a chair and settle in for a bit because intense art happens here! We’re idea people. Concept developers. We help you envision what doesn’t yet exist.
I hold over 15 years of professional Government and U.S. Military service combined with over six years of formal arts administration experience. As the very first woman-veteran founder of a full-service arts advisory, design studio, and stable of organized creativity experts in the Commonwealth of Virgina (founded in 2006 serving the metropolitan Washington DC area), my motto was: “progressive art, global women, and creative empowerment” or “More art is more love”. Now from the Bradenton to Naples region of Southwest Florida (or Suncoast), I coach, teach, write, lecture, exhibit, jury, curate, build teams, assess performance, motivate, advise, research, promote, counsel, conceptualize, market, facilitate and measure all things art.
Since December 2010, I’ve also been working towards developing artistic community. I am the original Founder of the Linked In Group “Creative Art Consultants” with well over 3000 members as of January 2012. Fully believing in the therapeutic impact and applicability of the arts, education, technology and creativity in one’s life, I work to encourage people to embrace full expression aided by education, free speech, diversity and imagination through visual expression.
In May 2011, I began combining interests in the vintage, relic, salvage, historic preservation, and antique markets with my love of design of form and function to help others create their own inspired art studios, craft workshops, in-home offices and creative work interiors to meet their own personal goals – all while continuing my own art endeavors. I hope this site will also serve as a resource especially for those who have never known the joy and freedom of the gifts of your own time and space.
My self-taught, late-emergent, exhibiting artwork concentrates in themes of art journals, visual diaries, sketchbooks, vintage and contemporary collage, and paper & book arts. I’m exploring personal navigation and life geographies. Lately, there’s been a growing expression of relationship and women’s journeys through life stages – connecting art, women, spirit and self. You can read more about my process, media, and tools on the Statement Page.
I welcome invitations from galleries, corporations, associations, or organizations. I am also regularly showing & exhibiting on the national level and enjoy entertaining new venues. I have presented multiple art journaling and creativity workshops to many ages and experience levels. In 2012, I am most excited about continuing our art studio design work while continuing to teach both groups and individuals. Art saves lives, but more importantly, art changes lives. More art IS more love.
